I try to integrate natural remedies with traditional medicine when approaching healthcare. That being said, certain advances of modern medicine, such as vaccinations, cannot be substituted with natural remedies. Vaccinations have eradicated many dieases, but if too many patients refuse vaccines, the diseases we have eradicated will return. I like working with families to find a balance bewteen what can be treated with a prescription and what can be treated with natural therapies.
I have a strong interest in the effects of aromatherapy and essential oils on health care. I have used oils to help augment traditional Western medicine as well as provide supportive care when Western medicine cannot help. I am also passionate about the effects of massage therapy on the immune system. Finally, as a lifelong allergy sufferer, I was interested in the latest advances in allergy treatment. I am happy to introduce allergy skin testing and sublingual allergy drops to Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. I am fortunate to find a pediatric office that embraces all my interests.
I am married with two young sons. I enjoy spending time with my husband and ever growing family as well as my dog and cat (despite my allergies!).
Our core values include the following:
Integrity • Compassionate Care • Communication • Commitment • Teamwork • Respect
These values are held by every member of our staff. Lake Country is our home, and deserves nothing less than the best medical care available. We will do everything in our power to deliver pediatric care in a professional, compassionate manner as your child's primary care doctor.
