Education:

University of Wisconsin- Madison:  Bachelor of Science with Distinction, Psychology

Marquette University: Master of Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

 

Certifications:

I am board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. I am also certified as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist (PMHS). I am a nationally certified infant massage instructor.

 

Style: 

I collaborate with families to provide individualized health care for their child.  I want kids to enjoying coming to see me. With each visit, I strive to add a little humor and provide open and caring communication to families.  I provide evidence-based care to support families in their wellness goals for their children. I incorporate a holistic approach to medicine addressing the health of the whole child: mind and body.  Mental health is paramount to physical health.  I seek to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.

 

Interests:

I have a strong interest in mental healthcare in children.  I have received additional certifications in mental health as a primary care provider.  I continue to advance my education to support my interest in treating the whole child.  I also have an interest in advances in allergy treatment. I oversee the allergy testing and sublingual allergy drops program at Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C.  

 

Personal life: 

I am married with two young sons. I enjoy spending time with my husband and children as well as painting in my spare time.
