I hope we can all be thankful that the Polar Vortex of last winter is finally behind us!

Unfortunately, experts are now saying the Polar Vortex will now be causing a Pollen Vortex!

It seems because of the Polar Vortex, plants that normally would bloom earlier in the year did not bloom, due to the cold weather. Now that the weather is warming up, these delayed bloomers are starting to bloom, but so are the rest of the plants that would normally bloom at this time. This means many more plants, trees, and shrubs will all be blooming at the same time!! More blooming translates into more pollen in air and more miserable symptoms for allergy sufferers.

What can we do about this? We can stay ahead of the Pollen Vortex.

The first step is to know what your allergy triggers are, then we can form a management plan. A simple skin test at our office can help you there!

Next, we can plan whether over-the-counter treatment, sublingual drops, or subcutaneous  injections would be your best option.

Even Dr. OZ agrees... In videos taken from his April 3, 2013 show, Dr. Oz and his guest, Dr. Clifford Bassett, explain that the country is in the midst of the worst allergy season ever, but there is hope for allergy sufferers in the form of sublingual immunotherapy-allergy drops.
