What's New At Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C.

Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C., with locations in Delafield and Oconomowoc WI, serves the greater Western Waukesha County residents and beyond. We have some exciting programs in place that have been big hits with new moms and dads, namely breastfeeding support and home visits.

Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. serves children and young adults from birth to college graduation. We serve parents and grandparents, offering guidance and education to help raise healthy, compassionate, and productive young adults.

Our breastfeeding support groups have been a huge success and welcome all mom and baby couples needing assistance, looking for better techniques, or simply enjoying the support and camaraderie between two women.

Our breastfeeding support group led by Lisa Harris, RNC, IBCLC, is held in the Delafield clinic on Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30 pm. The group is open to all new moms and babies, not just patients of Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. The group has welcomed moms and babies born at Aurora Summit, Aurora West Allis, Community Memorial Hospital, Elmbrook Memorial, Froedtert-Children's Hospital of WI, Prohealth at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals, Watertown Memorial, as well as midwife and home deliveries. The common denominator is moms and babies who want to come together to share ideas, techniques, success stories, and sometimes tears, in a supportive, knowledge driven compassionate environment.

If the support group does not work for you, LCP offers a home visit by Jamie Fontaine, RN, BSN, IBCLC. Jamie can come to your home or meet you at the office. If the Delafield location does not work for you, you can join Jamie's group on Thursday afternoons at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. Again, you do not have to be a patient of LCP to take part!

Both of our lactation consultants have years of experience and have worked in many diverse settings to bring a realistic and experienced guiding hand to make your breastfeeding experience rewarding and enjoyable.

Each new baby is guaranteed insurance coverage for breastfeeding, lactation consult services under the Affordable Care Act. Just as your insurance is required to cover a breast pump, they are required to cover any costs associated with lactation services for up to six 30 minute consults. LCP will collect your insurance information to bill your insurance company for consult services, but you should never get a bill from us.
