How do I make a first-time appointment for my child? 

Just give us a call and one of our dedicated office staff will help you schedule! If you’re unsure when your child should come in for a checkup, take a look at our well-child visit schedule to learn more! Don’t worry if your child has missed a few appointments, we can help catch them up, together!

Do you take walk in appointments?

We do keep room in our schedule for same day visits but ask you to call ahead to schedule an appointment. If it is an emergency situation, we recommend visiting your local emergency room.

At Lake Country Pediatrics, our goal is to see all our patients consistently from birth through college to help ensure optimal health and growth. We do offer appointments to one-time visitors.

How often should I bring my child in for a checkup?

We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics well-child visit schedule to ensure we’re checking in with you and your children at key points in their growth. These appointments happen more frequently in the first three years of a child’s life and taper off to a single visit per year. When should I start looking for a pediatrician?

It’s best to start looking for your pediatrician at the start of your third trimester or about three months out from the baby’s due date. This will give you enough time to research your options, interview potential pediatricians, and prepare for your first postpartum appointments! Do you offer pre-natal care?

While you’ll work directly with your OB/GYN for pre-natal care, our goal is to meet you before your baby is born to get to know you, to help answer your questions, and to discuss a plan for your post-birth appointments! We offer at-home appointments for your new baby along with a free new parent support group called Baby Steps where our pediatricians meet with new parents to answer questions and support your growing family! Do all kids need allergy tests?

No, not all children need allergy testing, but we do recommend you have your child tested if they show persistent symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, skin rashes, or food intolerances. Allergy tests help us identify potential allergens and create a treatment plan to prevent severe reactions and improve your child’s quality of life.

Do you do sports physicals?

Yes! When children join clubs, traveling sports teams, or enter into middle school, they do need a medical clearance to participate in these activities. We recommend scheduling your child’s sports physical in conjunction with annual well checks. If your child is interested in participating in any group sports activities contact us today!
