Hello! I am Dr Abby Patterson and I am looking forward to meeting and caring for your family!
I grew up in Brookfield, WI; majored in Biology at Loyola University Chicago and went on to study medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
When it came time for me to choose a specialty I was drawn to pediatrics for a variety of reasons. I have always loved children and I really enjoyed learning about child development. I also like the impact that a pediatrician can have on preventing illness and promoting health.
I completed my pediatrics residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas and after completion I stayed on as a faculty member in the newborn nursery, seeing healthy babies and teaching medical students and residents. I also studied for and got my IBCLC to help promote breastfeeding and solve breastfeeding problems. I was also able to hone my teaching skills as I taught both learners and families.
After spending time in Texas our family chose to return to Wisconsin to be closer to family as our family grows. I chose to join Lake Country Pediatrics because I believe the independent practice will allow me to partner with families and provide the very best care for their children.
When I am not working you will probably find me playing with my 3 young children or maybe reading or baking bread.

Justin Paulson, MD
Dr. Paulson is originally from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he majored in chemistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he graduated with his MD degree with Honors in Research Distinction. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. After residency, he completed fellowships in both pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He was a faculty member at East Carolina University – Brody School of Medicine where he served as the associate director of cystic fibrosis services and was an assistant clinical professor of pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine.
Prior to coming to Lake Country Pediatrics, Dr. Paulson was practicing general pediatrics at MyMichigan Health in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. While Dr. Paulson enjoys practicing the entire scope of general pediatrics, he has additional expertise in asthma, chronic lung disease of prematurity, cystic fibrosis, primary ciliary dyskinesia, vocal cord dysfunction, sleep apnea, insomnia, periodic limb movement disorder, Pierre Robin sequence as well as tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients. He is thrilled to be back in Wisconsin practicing pediatrics.
In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, exercising, being an amateur mechanic, and spending time with family including his nephews at the family cabin in Western Wisconsin.

My name is Myra Bell. I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and am excited to be joining the Lake Country Pediatrics team. I have been a Wisconsinite my entire life and am happy that my husband and I are able to raise our 5 children here. I enjoy caring for children and love watching them grow. I look forward to meeting the families that LCP serves.
I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree through the UW – Madison School of Nursing in 2021 and received my board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care shortly thereafter. My PNP training included primary and specialty care clinics as well as a fellowship with the Pediatric Neurology Department at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. My clinical background includes 17 years of nursing experience split between the emergency department and a pediatric specialty clinic.
In my practice, I promote wellness through education and preventative care, using evidence- based guidelines when possible. I use a holistic approach because every child is unique and health conditions are often multifactorial in nature. This means I will assess and treat the whole child and situation, not just the immediate reason for the visit.
I chose to work at LCP because I feel their mission, vision, and core values resonate with my own goals as a healthcare provider. I want to be able to take the time to thoroughly assess your child and discuss all options before creating a plan tailored to meet your child’s needs. This ensures the plan of care will not only be appropriate, but one that you as their parent can trust and follow.
When I am not caring for children in the clinic, I can be found playing with my own children at home. I love being outside, cooking, running, and spending time with family.

I grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursed my master’s in nursing at Marquette. Fun fact is my 8th grade yearbook says my career goal was to be a pediatric nurse; I have loved working with children for as long as I could remember! I worked at Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. as a RN during my master’s program. After graduating, I worked in Illinois and the inner city of Milwaukee before returning to Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. in 2016 as a PNP.
One of my favorite things is seeing the babies at home visits grow into grown children that are able to have conversations. I love health promotion and prevention that is discussed in each of the well child visits. Since I have become a parent, it is a fun part of the job to bring some personal experiences into my role as a PNP.
My husband, Doug, and I have 2 little girls, Blake and Devyn, and a golden retriever, Bentley. We moved to Lake country in 2023 right before Devyn was born and love exploring the area.

I received a degree in Dietetics from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee. During that time, I got to pair my passions of cooking and science while learning everything I could about diet and its effects on health.
After graduation, I spent a year in a large hospital in Georgia. Surrounded by dedicated medical professionals of varying specialties I was inspired to advance my own education and decided to pursue a medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine.
After completing my residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital, I accepted a position at a multi-specialty medical clinic in Wisconsin and spent 20 years continually learning and connecting with patients of different backgrounds.
I chose to join Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. to have the flexibility of an independent practice, finding comfort in knowing I can refer my patients to the very best specialists without having to stay within any specific healthcare network.
I am passionate about working directly with families and watching my patients grow into healthy adults. I firmly believe in patient-centered care and enjoy guiding parents and patients through the many developmental stages of growth from infancy through young adulthood. Talking and growing with my families is the best part of my job.
I am married with two adult stepsons. In my free time I enjoy reading, kickboxing, and taking rides with my husband in our Corvette.

As a pediatrician, I most look forward to meeting your family and serving as your consultant, to keep your little ones healthy, safe, and successful!
I grew up in ‘Tosa as the middle of three children. My wife, Abby, grew up in the Racine area. All of our family resides in Southeastern Wisconsin, which drew us back to the area after ten years away. We are excited at the opportunity to raise our (now, three) boys, in the Lake Country area!
I graduated from UW-Madison, completing my medical education in 2006. I then began active duty with the United States Air Force and completed both a residency and a year as Chief Resident in the Norfolk area of Virginia. I have also had the privilege of taking care of our nation’s military children as their primary doctor in beautiful Colorado, splitting my time between Colorado Springs and the Denver area. However, Abby and I have always remained true to our Green and Gold roots!
I have been board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since completing residency in 2009, with recertification in 2016, and I have been a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2010. As such, I will generally adhere to AAP practice recommendations when I discuss treatments with you, to include standard vaccinations on schedule.
I chose to practice at Lake Country Pediatrics for many reasons; the most important being the doctor-family relationship. As part of LCP, I can maintain that relationship with the best interests of you and your child in mind. At LCP, we can provide your family with more personalized care and the full range of options, all within the scope of sound and evidence-based medical care. My approach to each and every child is simple: listen first, ask enough questions, educate my patients and parents, and provide options whenever possible.

I am a pediatrician who has been in private practice since 1996.
I began my medical journey as an undergraduate at The University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and Nottingham University, Nottingham England.
I attended Medical School at The Medical College of Wisconsin and completed internship and residency at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 1996. I opened LCP in 1997.
Pediatrics is essentially preventative medicine. Vaccinations are the hallmark preventative disease in children, teens, and young adults. I support the current American Academy of Pediatrics vaccination recommendations.
My practice style is education based. I try to educate families about a particular condition. This is the best way for patients and their families to make informed decisions. My approach is to access the whole situation prior to making recommendations. Once a situation has been explored I teach patients what the situation is and then present options on how to address it. Ideally, I recognize potential issues during preventative visits and guide patients on how to avoid problems down the road of childhood and adulthood.
I use evidence based medical practices. This does include options for evidence-based, non-traditional treatments when appropriate.
During my free time, you might find me on my bike, in the gym, hiking, fishing, gardening, and landscaping or traveling.

Hello! My name is Shauna. I attended nursing school at the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Cardinal Stritch University, and graduated with my BSN in 2020. During my schooling, I had clinical rotations in many different areas, such as maternal newborn, mental health, and geriatrics. I also worked full time at Aurora Sports Health and Rehab throughout college. I completed an Externship at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center on their Abdominal Transplant unit, where I worked with patients battling different illnesses that would often result in the need for heart, liver, kidney, or pancreas transplants. Next, I completed a Preceptorship at Aurora Summit Medical Center on their medical/surgical unit and worked with many different types of patients who were gearing up for surgery, sick with illness, recovering from injuries, etc.
I started working at Lake Country Pediatrics in 2021 and I can say that I truly love my job. It is truly a privilege to get to be a part of these children’s lives and to watch them grow up right before my eyes. I have always loved working with babies and children, but also enjoy working with adolescents and even the geriatric population.
Outside of work, I enjoy attending Milwaukee Bucks basketball games, baking, volunteering at local food pantries, road trips, and spending time with my family and friends. I have three older brothers, three nieces, and one nephew. I also have three dogs – Simba (Rottweiler), Chloe (Teddy Bear), and Chico (French Bulldog)! I believe that, as healthcare workers, it is our responsibility to advocate for our patients and to provide a safe and comfortable environment that is conducive to providing the best care possible. I look forward to seeing returning faces and meeting new ones!

My name is Amber, and I started working at Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. in May 2022. I went to school for Early Childhood Education at Concordia University of Wisconsin. I worked at the Kohl’s Corporate office at their Child Development Center for almost 10 years as a Toddler Room teacher. When the COVID pandemic hit, I took the opportunity to obtain my CNA license through the emergency pandemic training. While doing the training I was working at a nursing home since I was furloughed from the childcare center position. After completing CNA training, I transitioned to a new nursing home and completed my Medication Technician certification. I then came to Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. and love working here. For me, it is the best of both careers as I still get to work with children every day and I am expanding my knowledge in the medical field. To continue my knowledge and career, I am currently in school to obtain my nursing degree.
Outside of work I love spending time with my family, especially my son. We enjoy being outside, riding bikes, playing catch, and enjoying our time together. I look forward to watching the kids grow that come to Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. and maintaining relationships with families that I work with.

I am currently studying at WCTC for my nursing degree! Before my role here, I was a CNA at Aurora Medical Center in Summit.
I started working here at Lake Country Pediatrics, S.C. in June of 2024. I really enjoy working with children and want to expand my experience working with children. Once I graduate nursing school I would love to work in a pediatric nursing unit. I am grateful to be a part of these children’s lives and see them grow and experience life.
Outside of work, I love to travel and go hiking. I love experiencing the outdoors and seeing new places. While traveling to new places, I also love trying new foods. I am currently one of 6 siblings and have 3 dogs, so I am pretty used to the chaos.

I joined Lake Country Pediatrics in 2007 as a receptionist and have been the practice manager since 2011. In addition to managing the day-to-day clinic operations and overseeing the staff, I’m here to help with any issues you may have. It’s also great to hear feedback of positive experiences and share them with the staff! I have worked in the medical field my entire adult life, and over the years at LCP it has been fun to watch the kids grow into teens and adults.
I currently live with my husband and chocolate lab. Outside of work, I love to spend time with our grown children and 5 grandchildren. When we aren’t boating and snowmobiling in the north woods, I enjoy gardening and cooking.

I have been with Lake Country Pediatrics for several years – I am the smiling face you see when you enter the office. I am one of the several receptionists here that help you with getting your appointment scheduled.
Prior to coming to LCP, I worked in a lager medical office doing much of what I do here, but it didn’t have the same feeling of warmth and kindness we have at Lake Country Pediatrics. I have spent most of my life in the Lake Country area and have no desire to leave.
My husband and I have been blessed with many things, but our daughter is the best blessing. As she gets older, she takes up more and more of our time with her activities. We also have a fur child, a naughty but sweet chocolate lab who I love taking to the dog park and for walks. Outside of work I love spending time with family and friends – mainly in the summer when we are out on our boat, and volunteering at my daughter’s school. My motto in life is: Life’s a Garden Dig it.
